THE ROLE
The Senior Account Director is responsible for all agency output from the Campaign & Purpose Team, leading the team to deliver to the highest standard. This role will work across exciting new campaign projects with culture and purpose at the heart of everything we do. Working closely with the strategy and creative team to develop new project pitches and onboard clients to the Warm Street Way when new business has been signed off. Projects span events, content, culture campaigns and purpose programmes, including Ballantine’s True Music Fund and Wray Forward, and leading new campaigns and projects that come into the business.
Operating as the voice of the client in the agency - and the voice of the agency to the client - as work goes into execution, they ensure the strategic and creative direction is met across all work, keeping brand reach, relevance and social performance front of mind at all times. The Senior Account Director will think three steps ahead, guiding and motivating the team to deliver excellence for the client at all times. They will play an active role in working cross functionally with other departments to make sure both client and Warm Street objectives are met and work closely with the Senior Social Account Director from the social team to develop cross-team ways of working and deliver project excellence. They will coach and develop the team to ensure best in class output and ways of working.
They will manage resourcing and forward planning of the account. The Senior Account Director will be a confident, experienced and acutely organized & operational team lead - focusing on ways of working, project management and ensuring excellence in output across the account. They will be an accomplished team leader, and be experienced in thinking on their feet to help troubleshoot any challenges (or opportunities) on the account. Commercially capable, they will lead the delivery of the financial performance of the Team, they will be able to manage scopes of work, and project budgets, whilst looking to drive growth opportunities and efficiencies where possible.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an ambitious Senior Account Director with experience of strategic and tactical decision-making to reach target consumers within music and social spheres. You will have experience at a senior level of driving client growth and leading social-first work for brands, preferably those activating within music. You will have a proven track record of executing stand out 360 marketing campaigns, and purpose led programmes and excel at client management and creative marketing solutions. You will be the client and project execution expert in the team, with an understanding of production processes for events, talent partnerships and content campaigns and you will lead by example, fostering a positive and productive team environment. You will have a solid understanding of Global music cultures and scenes, and a keen interest in future digital technologies.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive growth of the accounts: identify opportunities and action them, working into adjacent parts of the portfolio: both within brands and across different brands, and working to defined growth targets
Senior point of contact on all client and brand matters, driving and managing the execution of new briefs alongside the team
Establishes self as strategic partner with clients, focused on creative, cultural and innovative solutions, and excellence of output
Account team lead: empower and support staff ultimate responsibility and accountability for all team output. Communicate priorities, deadlines and deliverables
Review R&R in the account teams to ensure optimum output is achieved, standard of execution improved and our team are enjoying their work in the best possible way
Team resourcing: forecast, recruit, onboard, manage and develop account team (permanent team members and freelance support)
Communicate effectively with the leadership team and employees
Overseeing of all aspects of social first 360 marketing campaigns, content production, and events, quality controlling and optimising to drive performance from initial brief all the way through to end of campaign reporting
Overseeing talent deals, brand partnerships and campaigns, ensuring deep consideration of the relationships between brands and communities
Regularly review campaign delivery and results: driving implementation of improvements to maximise ROI
Review team profitability vs agreed scopes and build teams plan that take into account any spend or profitability adjustments
Lead the revenue management process for the accounts, including development and review of pipeline, budget development and management, and driving profitability to achieve/exceed revenue goals
Identify opportunities to enhance, accelerate and broaden the Warm Street business
Gatekeeper of all business policies and processes: ensure all team members maintain exceptional standards
REQUIREMENTS
Agency experience essential
7+ years experience leading teams to deliver social first content and event campaigns
8+ years of overall experience within brand and music marketing
Exceptional understanding of culture marketing strategy and tactics
Proven track record of managing successful projects small to big, with budgets of £25k - £600K+
Experience of handling high stakes conversations with clients and partners
Experience of all social media platforms, features, tools and amplification tactics
Experience of line management and people development
Knowledge of client’s brands - understand their activity and tone of voice
Execution expertise mixed with high level strategic thinking
Confidence to take a project from brief to final delivery with a high level of detail
Detailed in the delivery of scope of work, legal and budget documents
A confident communicator, able to demonstrate leadership both verbally and in writing.
Passionate about brands and driving teams to deliver at the highest standard
Passionate about delivering innovative campaigns that utilize social media in creative and inspiring ways
Super organised, with a track record of implementing new processes to optimise output, and working across multiple projects and prioritising tasks effectively
Confident in establishing and developing new relationships
Detailed in the delivery of scope of work, legal and budget documents
Deep understanding of multi channel strategies and delivery
Able to maintain a proactive and calm attitude
Passionate about growth and personal development
